Now that the world is small enough to fit in your pocket and we can all get outraged about the same trivial pivotal event and feel part of the world by sharing a meme we think was probably fact checked by some one, we in the big evil west who have our gross and racist concepts like human rights, equality and free expression get to meet all of these people who have none of these things. We can be in whatever forum and group we want where we can write and say anything, but these new people seem to be talking about the same things we are only they have to keep their family and neighbours from knowing that they have a secret rendezvous with pluralism every day. If you think that these people, who are in your groups, wouldn't gladly give generously to get Lubna a little closer to life back above ground far away from the literal Anne Frank life she has now, then you're cracked.
I'd love to help the whole of humanity be free of the abject torment of living in a society organized in advance around the violent reaction to the person who thinks differently, the person who is made so that they cannot love who they are told to love, the boy who doesn't want to pray five times every day, the girl who would rather keep her dirty clitoris and see for herself, the mother who doesn't want to choose between raising her children with a violent father or poverty, or the student who thinks her hair is just fine uncovered and her walk to the library doesn't require a male relative to walk with her and ward off the devout and spiritual men with their pious verbal assault, scare away the children hurling projectiles at her head, or be beaten in her stead by the violent Shia twelver cult members and Iranian regime subsidiary militia thugs who demand she change her offensive appearance.
A young female student took a daily trek through this thorn bush of malignant creeps manacled to shame and rage, and she fought them while they scold her in the street or smack her face on the bus or maybe they follow her to an ally where they can do more to convince her to fit in. She fought there and then she went on the internet and with almost no experience interacting with like minded people, she fought there too. She appeared on a YouTube show to be interviewed about her story which was making the rounds in a small community of thinking people and she said things that angered the thorn bush. The thorn bush is not coming for her, it's the culture she lived and now hides in.
We can easily forget and we can see that someone is helping her or trying and that makes it easier to rationalize doing fuck all about it. Ask one of the people you know who are pretending to be religious in a theocratic society whether they are anxious about whether vocal allies, and openly atheist westerners are willing to help this girl. There are unknown millions of these victims and victims in waiting who hide behind lies while they look for a way to escape living in a mental prison, avoid incest and arranged marriage, or have a life where a family or friendship is possible without fear of being discovered.
The Pakistani media has declared atheists and ex Muslims to be enemy of the state. Pakistanis are enjoined to attack them or point them out. Lubna is hiding in the gulf, and there are others in Pakistan and Iran and the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, and Europe. Sign in to PayPal and help us get this woman out of this place. Or I think that you can still get in on that eBay auction before it closes and someone else snags that trekkie porn video game you have wanted so bad since you saw it this morning. That's a good thing you can do I suppose.
