Our dear friend Lubna has been hiding in a dangerous place for several months. She appeared on an American YouTube interview show where she bravely spoke out about conditions for women and religious minorities living in her country. The video went viral and sparked a number of serious threats to her safety and life. The video has since been taken down, but her story is posted below.
After multiple attempts to rescue her have gone awry, we are close to a resolution. She will very likely be permitted to leave and come west. The main hurdle is financial.
Donations: We will need to cover her transportation costs ($5000). Her living situation in the States is covered by a relative who requires financial assistance ($5000). The people who have been doing the leg work on her case have gone into debt($2500).

It is a shame, but the reason we are using PayPal is that earlier attempts to use GoFundMe were a failure because GFM is slow, susceptible to the whims of passersbywho are unfamiliar with the case.
